Braj Chaurasi Kos Yatra   (10 Night 11 Days)

Overview: Braj Chaurasi Kos Yatra In ancient India ‘Kos’ was the unit of measuring distance. So, ‘84 Kos’ means 252 kilometers long pilgrimage to the Braj region that has Vrindavan, and its 12 vans (forests), and 24 upvanas (groves). This journey also includes numerous holy places along the banks of the divine River Yamuna, the sacred hill Govardhan, Mathura (birthplace of Lord Krishna), Mahavan, Baldeo, Kusum Sarovar, Barsana & Nandgaon. This Yatra brings an insight into the whole life journey of Lord Krishna, the places where Lord Krishna was born and mentioned, did his Lela’s, etc. This journey also gives the Punya (blessings) of the char dhamYatra as once Nandji and Yashodha Mata expressed their desire before Lord Krishna to travel for char Dham yatra. Lord Krishna for his or her convenience created all the Char Dhams during this sacred Braj region of 84 Kos. Etc.

ITINERARY:

Day 01 Arrival Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport, transfer to Hotel, check -in to the hotel, evening free for leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02 Delhi – Vrindavan

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and proceed to Vrindavan, On arrival at Vrindavan Check – in to the Hotel. Later visit Prem Mandir: It is dedicated to Radha Krishna and Sita Ram. Radha Krishna are on the first level and Sita Ram are on the second level. The temple was established by the fifth Original Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Different Leelas of Shri Krishna and Rasik saints are & Vasinodevi Mandir: The Dham allows all devotees of Maa Vaishno Devi to worship their deity while also carrying out their duties of serving the underprivileged. Every year, millions of devotees from all across India and the world visit the Dham.Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Vrindavan.

Day 03 Vrindavan – Mathura Local Sightseeing – Vrindavan

After breakfast proceed to Yamuna Ghat and start yatra with Yamuna Pooja & Havan, Krishan Janam Bhumi: According to Hindu traditions, Krishna was born to Devaki and Vasudeva in a prison cell where they were confined by his maternal uncle Kansa, a king of Mathura, due to prophecy of his death by the

child of Devaki. According to tradition, a temple dedicated to Krishna was built the birthplace by his great grandson Vajranabh. The present site known as Krishna Janmasthan (it. ’birthplace of Krishna’) was known as Katra (lit. ’market place’) Keshavdeva. The archaeological excavations of the site had revealed pottery and terracotta from 6th century BC. Shri Dwarikadhesh Mandir: The Dwarkadhish Temple, touted as one of the holiest temples in Mathura, is famous all over the country for its elaborate architecture and paintings. Built in 1814, the temple is relatively new but is highly revered. The temple is dedicated to Lord Dwarkadheesh, a form of Lord Krishna known as Dwarkanath, depicted in a black marble idol.  Potra Ghat, Brahi Darshan Dauji, Free time for Lunch in Mathura Area Restaurant on your own. Later Rangeshwar Mahadev: Rangeshwar Mahadev Temple is a beautifully carved stone structure dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in the southern part of the city of Mathura. The temple reflects simple Hindu style architecture with carvings and paintings on the walls. It is one of the few temples in the city that is dedicated to Lord Shiva, given that Mathura was the birthplace of Lord Krishna and all religious activities are more focussed on him. Mahaparbhu ki Bethak, Evening Aarti at Vishram Ghat 07:00 pm. Proceed back to Hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay will be at Vrindavan. 

 

Day 04 Varindavan –Baldevpuram- Gokul – Varindavan

After breakfast leave for Baldev Daiuji Mandir: The temple has stood for over 5000 years since 1535 AD and is one of the oldest temples in the city. The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Balarama, who was the elder sibling of Lord Krishna.  Raval Devi Temple: The divine birthplace of Srimati Radharani – the lady to whom Lord krishna is sold completely. Chinta Haran Temple: This ghat lies on the bank of Shree Yamuna near BrahmandGhat to its east. Chintaharan Mahadev, who is worshipped by the Brijwasis, is present here. When Mother Yashoda saw the universes in Kanhaiya’s mouth, she became extremely anxious for His welfare and prayed to ChintaharanMahadev for Krishna’s safety. Chintaharan means “removing anxieties”. Charurasi Khamba: Nand Bhavan, also known as Chaurasi Khamba Temple, is a famous pilgrimage place in Gokul. This temple rests on 84 pillars.The walls of the temple are painted with Lord Krishn’s various childhood pastimes. The pillars of the rock have exquisite carvings which express their beauty.  Raman Reti:     Raman Reti, or Raman Van, is one of the religious places in Gokul which you should certainly visit. There is a fascinating mythological tale associated with it. It is believed that Yashoda, Krishna’s foster mother, would send him along with his friends to the forest for various household chores. Chandrawali Temple: It is directly or indirectly related to Krishna and Radha. It is flooded with worshippers and is believed to be a place passed by Radha rani daily her way to Ambika van where she used to

meet lord krishna.  Mathura is the legendary town of Gokul, where you can find mythological stories from Lord Krishna’s childhood resplendent in its glorious places, structures, temples and elements. One such significant place is the tranquil stretch along the River Yamuna known as Brahmand Ghat. Raskhan Samadhi. After these sightseeing visit Gokul nath mandir: The temple stands out with its enormous shikhara (central tower). Beside the temple is Mansi Ganga, which is an attraction in itself. This water tank is associated with an interesting mythological legend. Raja Thakur mandir. Back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Vrindavan.

 

Day 05 Vrindavan –  Maholi – Goverdhan

Breakfast in Hotel and Check out from Hotel. Leave for Talwan, Maholi Gaon (kumud Van): Kumudavana is the third among the twelve principal forests of Braj that will be recreated next to the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir at Krishna Bhumi. This delightful forest which is presently also known as Kudaravan is where Lord Krishna, Shri Balrama ji and the other cowherd boys wandered through while herding the cows. Kumudavana owes its name to the ancient ‘Kumuda’ trees that formed a dense forest in this part of Braj.  Shantan Kund, Bahulavan, Radha Rani Nanihal (Mukhrai) and proceed to Goverdhan. Arrival and Check in Hotel. Free time for Lunch in Hotel on your own. Start The Goverdhan Parvat Parikarma reroute Govardhan Parvat, a hill which is believed to be lifted by Lord Krishna on his finger. Every day, devotees from round the world come to this place to do the parikrama (circumambulation) of the hill. However, a large gathering can be witnessed on the pious occasions of Guru Purnima and Govardhan Puja. This entire parikrama is about 23 km which takes around 5-6 hours to complete. It starts from Manasi-Ganga Kund and while performing pilgrimage to Lord Harideva, the journey leads to Radha Kund Village where Vrindavan Road takes devotees to parikrama path. En route to this highly sacred pilgrimage in Uttar Pradesh, a number of important holy sites are covered; these include Radha Kund, Shyama Kund, Daan Ghati Mandir, Mukharvind, Kusuma Sarovar, Rinamochana, and Puchari. Proceed to Hotel. Arrival at Hotel and Dinner in Hotel.

Day 06 Goverdhan – Deeg – Seww-Goverdhan :-(80 Km)

 

Breakfast in Hotel, Leave for Deeg and visit Deeg Fort, Jal Mahal, Hakeek Pathar se Nirmit Hanuman Ji Darshan. Later Aadi Badri Darshan, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Nar Narayan Parvat, Ganesh Parvat, Har Ki Paidi. Proceed to

Kedarnath and trek to Kedarnath Mandir. Proceed back to Hotel. Arrive at Hotel. Dinner and Overnight Stay.

Day 07 Goverdhan – Kamvan (Kama)- Goverdhan:-(70 km)

                                                                   

Breakfast in Hotel, Leave For Kamvan (Kama) and visit Kameshwar Mahadev, Madan Mohan Temple (10:00 am close), Chaturyug Mahadev, Gopinath Ji Temple, Gaya kund. Later Vimal Kund, Bhomashur Cave, Balram Charan, Bhomashur Death Moti Mala, Charan Pahadi, Fisalani Shila, Chaurasi Khamba, Sankari Khori. Procced back to Hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

 

17/11 Day 08 Goverdhan – Barsana – Nandgaon-Goverdhan :- (60 km)

 

Breakfast at hotel, Leave For Barsana to Visit Radhan Rani Temple, Jaipur Temple (28km) and Barsana Paikarma enroute visit Morkuti, Gaehvar Van, Mahaparbhu ki Baiethak and later proceed to Nand Baba Darshan in Nand Village.(which is 7 km from Barsana) Visit Gajipur Prem Sarovar, Radha Govind Temple, Sankat Bihari Temple, Milan, Sathli, Sudama Mandir, Ram Mandir. Asheshwar Mahadev. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel in Govardhan.

 

Day 09 Goverdhan –kokilavan- Jav-Varindavan: – (80KM)

                                                                                  

Breakfast and Check Out from Hotel. Kokila Van (Shani Dev Temple which is 35 km from hotel), Radhakant Thakur Temple, 5000Years Old Muktlata Tree, Chameli Van. Kotvan, Garud Govind, Bachwan, Cheer Ghat, Aencho Daouji Temple, Shergarh, Khelan Bihari Mandir, Chandravali Sakhi (Rithora Village), Narisemari. and evening back to hotel in Varindavan. Dinner & Overnight at Varindavan.

 

Day 10 Varindavan – Belvan – Varindavan (45 KM)

Breakfast in Hotel, Leave for Radha Rani Temple, Aatas Wali Devi, Belvan. Shri Ranji Temple and Isckon Temple. Proceed back to Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Varindavan.

 

Day 11 Vrindavan – Delhi

 

After breakfast check – out from the hotel then leave for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi drop at airport/Railway station for onward journey.
